President Nicos Anastasiades is in Malta on Friday to participate in the sixth Mediterranean EU member states summit (MED7), along with participants from six other countries, France, Spain, Portugal, Malta, Italy and Greece.
The consultations on the appointments for the next EU institutional leadership will be the focus of the summit, government spokesman Prodromos Prodromou said.
Anastasiades will also have the opportunity to brief his counterparts over Turkey’s illegal actions in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone, he added.
