President Nicos Anastasiades and British Prime Minister Teresa May met briefly on Thursday where they discussed the protocol concerning the sovereign British Bases on the island once – or if – the UK leaves the European Union.
According to a statement by government spokesman Prodromos Prodromou, the two leaders conversed briefly in Brussels on the sidelines of the European Council summit.
The statement added that May was present at the summit, “having passed the test in the last few days with the vote in the UK parliament.
