Cyprus House Plenary Votes For The Opening Of The Electricity Market

The Plenary Session of the Parliament on Thursday unanimously passed three bills for the opening of the competitive electricity market, following years of discussions and postponements and after an EU warning.

The laws include the 2021 Bill for the regulation of the electricity market, the law for the establishment and operation of the Cyprus Energy Regulatory Authority and the Law on the Regulation of the natural gas market.
