Spain and Cyprus are committed to upgrading bilateral relations, the foreign ministers of both countries pledged after talks on Wednesday in Nicosia.In his remarks, Spain’s Foreign Minister Josep Borell thanked Cyprus for defending the integrity of the Spanish state in the Catalan issue and said that Cyprus could count on Spain’s support on the Cyprus issue.Borell’s meeting with Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides took place the day after the fifth Southern EU Countries Summit that was held in Nicosia on Tuesday.
