Bi-communal technical committees get further EU funding

The European Commission signed a new agreement with the United Nations to continue support for the bi-communal technical committees with an additional €1 million.

The European Commission representation in Cyprus said the support mechanism was launched in 2019 to support and enable the technical committees’ efforts to adopt island-wide and intercommunal solutions for issues of common concern for the communities.

The committees were established by the two leaders in Cyprus under the auspices of the United Nations.
