The President of the European Parliament, Roberta Metsola, arrives in Cyprus for an official visit on Thursday, following an invitation by Cyprus President, Nicos Anastasiades. On Friday she will, among other activities, hold meetings with Anastasiades and the President of the House of Representatives, Annita Demetriou, and will address the House plenary.
Demetriou will welcome Metsola in Larnaca on Thursday. According to a Parliament press release, on Friday 9 September, the President of the European Parliament will have a meeting with Demetriou at the House of Representatives, followed by statements to the press, and then Metsola will address a Special Session of the House Plenary, followed by a formal lunch in her honour.
