Funds take off in Cyprus

Cyprus is gaining ground on investment funds as, according to the Central Bank's data, the total assets of investment funds in Cyprus have almost tripled since 2008 to 2017, with the figure last December amounting to € 3.45 billion, while the number of investment funds at the end of 2017 stood at 114 compared to 55 in 2008, which is the largest number of registered investment funds ever in Cyprus. These figures show that Cyprus is heading in the right direction as larger investment funds with increased assets are registered, which is quite legitimate.

This dynamics is expected to continue during this year, as the results from the approval and registration of several investment funds in Cyprus are under way.
