During the period January – September 2017, 4,281 building permits were issued compared to 3,901 in the corresponding period of the previous year, according to data published by the Statistical Service of Cyprus.
The total value of these permits increased by 44.8% and the total area by 37.2%. The number of dwelling units recorded an increase of 35.1%.
The Statistical Service announced that the number of building permits authorized by the municipal authorities and the district administration offices during September 2017 stood at 509.
The total value of these permits reached €116.8 million and the total area 105.4 thousand square metres. These building permits provide for the construction of 362 dwelling units.
