Energy Minister: Cyprus should begin exporting first natural gas by 2026-2027

Minister of Energy Natasa Pilides has said that ‘realistically’ Cyprus should begin exporting its first natural gas by 2026-2027.

In an interview with Greek newspaper ‘To Vima’ on Sunday Pilides also said the ENI/Total consortium is drafting a specific plan on how their finds offshore Cyprus should be exploited.

The plan which has set has deadlines also outlines the opportunities and ways to export the natural gas.
