The US appears positive in the development of natural gas resources in Cyprus’ Exclusive Economic Zone after the announcements of the ENI-TOTAL consortium for new discoveries in Block 6. According to statements made by a US State Department representative, such development will promote European energy security while strengthening the foundations for energy security throughout the region.
