The Cabinet approved a plan for the revival of rural and mountain areas, Deputy Minister of Tourism, Savvas Perdios said after the meeting that took place Wednesday at the Presidential Palace.
Perdios said the plan aims at enriching and upgrading the tourist product in rural, mountain and remote areas of the island. This is a programme from the EU Recovery Fund under the "Cyprus Tomorrow" programme and is the second of four projects to be announced by the Deputy Ministry of Tourism. The project has a total budget of 5 million euros, of which 2 million will be disbursed in 2022, he added.
