Of all things, a Salt and Pepper museum is set to open in Larnaca next week. The only other one of its kind is located in Israel and from March 17 Larnaca will host a unique collection of 20,000 salt and pepper shakers that have been gathered from a plethora of countries, communities and cultures.
Israeli collector Eitan Bar-On has been gathering them since 2014, with each item holding a unique story, something that makes the museum a place of art, culture and storytelling.
The flagship museum in Israel exhibits the largest collection of salt and pepper shakers in the world, with over 37,000 exhibits. Many visitors from all age groups go on a weekly basis to hear the tales behind the collection.
