Stores closed on May 1st for Labour Day

Following announcements by both the Pancyprian Retailers Association and the Ministry of Labour, stores will be closed on Monday, May 1.

The Pancyprian Retailers Association has announced that, by law, stores will be closed on Monday, May 1, 2017.

The Ministry of Labour issued a similar announcement, saying that under the law all general stores must be closed on May 1.

Those “special stores” which will be operating must compensate their employees with double salary for that day, said the announcement.
