New Larnaca Mall plans to open October 2019

A new mall in Larnaca, currently awaiting planning permission, plans to open in October 2019 according to its director.

The "Zenon Mall" Larnaca, will have a covered area of 45,000sqm and parking space for 1,250 vehicles. Designed as a mixed use site, with something for all the family, it is planned to incorporate:

Retail Shopping Center (inc. Supermarket 1500 m²)

Pediatric and Family Medical Center (1800 m²)

Child Learning Center & playground (1470 m²)

Parking Recreation / Entertainment (4000 m²)

Migratory Bird Observatory and Tennis Academy (4690 m²)

Amphitheatre (outdoor) area (1660 m²)

The architectural design is described as being innovative, whilst using the latest technology to ensure the building adapts to its surroundings and incorporates advanced renewable energy systems.

The mixed retail & leisure development will be located on one of the major junctions entering Larnaca. The primary catchment area draws from over 150,000 people within 15 minutes of the mall. The secondary catchment area of more than 500,000 people covers 30 minutes’ distance from the scheme.

With high visibility and easy access from the island's main highways, the proposed project is strategically placed only minutes away from Larnaca International Airport & Larnaca Port.

Discussing the project with local press, Andreas Hadjimitsis, the founding partner and a major shareholder of My Mall Limassol stated:

“The business model for the Zenon Mall of Larnaca is founded on offering customers the convenience of having multiple needs met in one location, whether fashion, groceries, sport activity, dining, or leisure. It is designed to be the busiest shopping center in Cyprus and, because of its size, tenant mix, and convenient location, it will attract visitors from Larnaca, Cyprus, and the entire region."

He added he is very optimistic about the creation of Zenon Retail & Entertainment Park after already signing agreements with companies in Cyprus covering 60% of outlets in the mall. All that remains is for planning permission to be approved - something that he hoped they would secure within the next 10 days.
