Economy expected to grow over 5% in 2021

The economy is expected to grow by more than 5.5 per cent in 2021, Finance Minister Constantinos Petrides said on Tuesday, as preliminary estimates showed a 12.9 per cent year-on-year growth in the second quarter of the year.
In a written statement following the preliminary result published by the statistical service, the minister said the Q2 rate was markedly better than expected, signalling higher full year growth than forecasted.
