Cooperation between Cyprus and Egypt in the field of energy, including the planned subsea pipeline for the transport of natural gas from Cyprus to Egypt, was an important part of the meetings of Foreign Minister Nikos Christodoulides, who concluded on Wednesday 11 April his working visit to Egypt.
According a Foreign Ministry press release, during the visit, Christodoulides had a series of meetings with officials of the country. It is noted that it was the first visit of a Foreign Minister to Egypt after the re-election of President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.
During his visit, the Foreign Minister was received by President Sisi, while he was engaged in extensive consultations with his counterpart, Foreign Minister of the country, Sameh Shoukry.
